    How does Zycoxia MR work?

    Zycoxia MR is a combination of Etoricpxib and Thiocolchicoside.

    Etoricoxib is a specific COX-2 inhibitor with highest selectivity for COX-2. This enzymes help to make other chemicals called prostaglandins, in the body. Some prostaglandins are produced at the site of injury causing pain and inflammation.

    Etoricoxib blocks the effects of COX-2, fewer prostaglandins are produced, hence pain and inflammation are reduced.

    Thiocholchicoside is a muscle relaxing agent that works through selective binding to the GABA-A receptor. It prevents muscle contractions by activating the GABA inhibitory motor pathway.
